Using pendant lights for kitchen lighting
Lighting used in the house has become a symbol of style. If you need your workspace well lit you can use pendant lighting over a kitchen island. So that only the areas that need special lighting will be brightened up.
The spot light effect that the pendant lighting will give on the specific necessary areas will help you to reduce the shadows inside the kitchen and keep the areas that you need lit up. This could be used as a way of energy saving of not having too many lights burning unnecessarily.
Judging by what it is called, the lamp shade is designed as a pendant which dangles at the end. But you need to remember, that these should not be confused with chandeliers which use multiple bulbs, and the pendant lighting is usually only for one bulb.
Pendant style lighting was first popularized in the forties in the form of beautifully blown glass shells, and today it now has developed to compromise all sorts of styles.
